Like humans, animals internalize emotions and environmental stresses. But their body awareness and their natural urge to be healthy is strong. AnimalTalk works gently and effectively to help restore health and well-being in times of illness or transition.

BodyTalk sessions for animals work on the level beneath the symptoms and is unique because it also recognizes the critical family bonds that correspond directly to animal health. BodyTalk for animals can address emotionally based illnesses that are manifesting physically or behaviorally which are typically unaddressed through veterinary care.

BodyTalk is meant to be a COMPLIMENTARY practice to veterinary care- not a replacement. A BodyTalk practitioner does not diagnose and prescribe.

BodyTalk for animals can often involve a larger dynamic, that of the family. During a session, the practitioner communicates with the animal through neuromuscular biofeedback (muscle checking) done on the owner (or the practitioner) as a surrogate with the animal usually at a short distance. During the session, the animal is free to move which helps them to release stress and shift their emotional state. Often, the owner feels some changes too. AnimalTalk addresses the health of the pack.

How BodyTalk for Animals works

The BodyTalk System facilitates communication with the innate wisdom of the animal by using neuromuscular biofeedback (usually on a surrogate and sometimes on the animal himself) and structured intuition.

By following a comprehensive protocol of questions, the BodyTalk practitioner can establish exactly what balancing the body needs in order to harmonize body-mind function. This involves finding out which organs, endocrines, body parts, subtle energies, hereditary or environmental factors need to be connected (creating a healing formula) to repair communication between them at the physiological, biochemical, circulatory, nervous, emotional and/or subtle energetic levels.

When an imbalance is found,  the areas are simply contacted by the animal’s person and/or practitioner’s hands. While the links are being held, the practitioner gently taps on the head, and then over the heart complex. The act of tapping acts as a standing wave creating an interference in the body’s energy field and catalyzing a shift toward healing.  Tapping on the head enables the brain to register the connections the practitioner uncovered, which enhances the overall integral functioning and intercommunication within the body. The act of tapping over the heart complex enables innate to store the memory of these links. For animals that are sensitive to being touched or handled, all formulas can be held and tapped out on the animal’s person who acts as a surrogate. The practitioner will simply hold a mental focus on the animal, which proves to be just as effective as working on the animal directly.

In this way, the innate wisdom and healing function inherent in the body is enhanced on all levels—physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Client Feedback

Thanks for thinking of Gaucho. He is doing very well. After your treatment he was very different. The most noticeable change was he seemed more grounded and solid. When I walked him he was less nervous and more aware of his surroundings. At lot of his fear was not there anymore. He is still terrified of loud noises especially trucks but it seems to be a bit less. This week I noticed a huge change in him. He has so much more energy and gets out of bed the minute I do which was never the case. The biggest and best (!) thing is that he is walking down all of the stairs by himself!!!!! I am letting him run and play off lease in the park so he can build up his back legs.

Thanks for the work you have done with him.
